Creative economy

PRESENTATION

In Vaucluse, the creative economy already represents over 5 000 jobs in national heritage, live theater and the digital industry. The Provence region has a long history of attracting creators and artists who find there a unique lifestyle, as well as favorable infrastructures, equipment and work premises. Beyond an undeniable “local magic”, the creation of specialized training and research activities has enabled support for the development of projects and enterprises.

Local heritage value creation :
Based on our unique local heritage, many value creation activities have developed, including the restoration of heritage buildings, multimedia, museology, E-tourism, etc…

Theater and the performing arts :
Beyond the major festivals, twenty permanent Vaucluse structures and institutions (theater, music, opera, foundations…) concentrate several hundred enterprises, creators, artists and technicians working on performing arts engineering.

Digital creation :
Multimedia, video games, films, graphic arts, recording studios…all are enriching the creative economy of Vaucluse.
