For a very long time the region has naturally attracted the creators and artists of Provence. In the Vaucluse region, the creative economy already employs more than 5,000 people in the fields of culture, heritage, the performing arts, and digital technology.
Vaucluse, it is a lifestyle, infrastructures, facilities and favourable and unique places. Beyond the indisputable “magic” of this place, the creation of specialised training and research networks has made it possible to support the development of projects and companies.

Fields of excellence

Digital Creation Animation Film, Video Games, Cinema, Graphic Arts, Recording Studios… today all these sectors play a part in enriching the creative economy of the Vaucluse.

Heritage development: The Palais des Papes, the Pont d’Avignon, Mont Ventoux, the Luberon, ancient theatres, castles, and hilltop villages…
Many valuable sectors have developed around this unique heritage, such as heritage restoration, multimedia, museology, e-tourism, etc.

Theatre and live performances: Beyond the major festivals, some twenty permanent structures and institutions in Vaucluse (theatre, music, opera, foundations, etc.) have gathered several hundred companies of creators, artists and technicians, all focusing engineering of the show.
